Even G2 is unusually clear about its recorder boundary: it captures conversation audio for live transcription but does not retain the original recording after transcription. That makes it a strong caption-and-summary tool, not a substitute for a recorder that preserves replayable audio.
Where it stands out on paper

- The device privacy policy explicitly says original voice recordings are deleted immediately after transcription.
Important trade-offs
